Panic has hit United Democratic Alliance (UDA) after the Azimio
One Kenya Presidential candidate Raila Odinga pledged to restore peace and
repossess grabbed land in Laikipia county if elected in the August 9
polls.
Raila
who was accompanied by his running mate Martha Karua and Azimio allied
leaders toured Laikipia and Nyeri counties where they urged voters
to come out in large numbers to vote for Azimio on polling day.
The
former prime minister pledged to improve living conditions of Kenyans, adding
he has the best plan for the economic liberation of the country.
While
in Laikipia, Raila promised to repossess the disputed Agricultural Development
Corporation (ADC) Mutara farm so that the land is reverted to public use
for the benefit of area residents.
Karua
said corruption is the biggest problem bedevilling the country, promising that their
administration will end the vice to ensure better living standards for all
Kenyans.
And now
UDA leaders are in panic after the High Court ordered the forfeiture of Sh200
million which presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua could not account for.
After
the ruling, Gachagua cried foul claiming the judgment was a blatant attempt to
curtail Kenya Kwanza's bid to ascend to the presidency in the upcoming August 9
poll.
He claimed,
without evidence, that the judgment was hastily delivered after he defeated Karua
in the deputy president's debate.
But
Gachagua is now broke and cannot finance UDA campaigns even in Nyeri.
