When Ruto used to report office at 5am

Before the March 9, 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga happened, Deputy President William Ruto used to report to his Harambee Annex Office at 5am on the dot.

 I know because I worked around there.

The man had direct contacts to procurement officers in every government institution.

He had an idea of everything tendered in these institutions. Sometimes he could create his own tenders.

His business in the office was personally making calls and giving directions on who must be given which tender where either air was supplied and money sent to his office through his proxies.

You see the bitterness in Elgeyo/Marakwet Sernator Kipchumba Murkomen, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua and others and you just think it’s all politics.

 These were his messengers collecting money in bags from government institutions. The fellows became moneyed and arrogance set in.

 If you were lucky to get a tender, you'd only deliver goods or services and the money is delivered to Harambee House Annex.

Don't fall for this nonsense that Ruto will improve the lives of ordinary people.

The man believes 100% that for Kenyans to be managed easily, they must be kept poor.

The less I say about Murkomen, the better but all of you know Murkomen is a lawyer whom you've never seen in court and has zero investments apart from the SMS Advocate firm which he co-runs with others.

Between 2013 and 2017, the man built a Sh300 million humongous mansion in Karen where he's living.

At one time Duale walked in to some building where I was working unannounced and didn't find the VIP lift waiting and he walked away and sent a security guard to tell the boss to follow him to his office.

Civil servants became their slaves. They cut every deal using the positions they held.

People's businesses collapsed because of them, government businesses died.
