Jubilee wins Mahoo as UDA bags Kiagu’s in by-elections

Saleri Donald Fundi (pictured above) of Jubilee Party is the Member of County Assembly for Mahoo Ward following his victory in a hotly contested by-election.

Fundi was elected with 1,609, representing 53 per cent of total votes, closely followed United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Daniel Kimuyu Mutuku who garnered 1,358 votes (44 percent).

Tujibebe Wakenya Party candidate, Samuel Obwoge, came a distance third with 89 votes.

Meanwhile, Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate won Kiagu Ward by-election in Meru County.

Simon Kiambi Ngaruni won the mini-poll after garnering 2,440 votes to beat Chama Cha Kazi's Milton Mwenda who got 1,823 votes.

Jubilee Party's Samson Kinyua came third on 1, 609 votes.
