A suspect in the National Youth Service Sh760 million scandal, Ben Gethi (pictured) has
been sentenced to five years in jail or pay a fine of Ksh4 million after being
found guilty of forging tender documents for lanterns for the 2013 General
Election.
Gethi was sentenced by Chief Magistrate Lawrence
Mugambi alongside Solarmark Technologies Director Joyce Makena and three former
IEBC officials - Gabriel Mutunga, Kennedy Gaunye and Willie Kamanga.
The five had been convicted on different counts
including forging tender documents for lanterns that were to be used in the
2013 General Election and conspiracy to defraud.
