Deputy President William Ruto
finally resurfaced in Dubai
where he visited ailing Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
Ruto
visited Kuria at a Dubai hospital where the legislator is recuperating. He was accompanied
by Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi.
There are
reports Ruto’s first stop en-route to Dubai was Milan, Italy, where he met
undisclosed investors to raise money for his presidential bid.
Ruto is
expected to tour Taita Taveta and Kilifi Counties to
popularise the
Kenya Kwanza Alliance ahead of the elections.
He is expected at Voi town where
he will be received by the County’s gubernatorial hopeful John Murutu among
other leaders and political aspirants.
Ruto will later head to
Magarini in Kilifi county where he will be received by Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa
who is eyeing the Kilifi governor’s position.
The tours come amid concerns on
social media on his whereabouts after missing out on the political scene for a
day or two.
Photos of the DP accompanied by
Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi would later emerge with Gatundu South MP Moses
Kuria who has been undergoing treatment in Dubai.
Kuria revealed he had updated Ruto
on his recovery even as he invited him for his homecoming.
After his tour of Kilili, DP
Ruto will visit Mombasa and Kwale counties to drum up support for his UDA Party
as well as the newly found union with ANC and FORD Kenya.
Ruto has continuously presented
himself as the best person suited to succeed President Uhuru saying his
competitors can’t be trusted.
In his recent Nairobi tour,
Ruto urged Kenyans to be wary of ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga saying he can’t
be trusted to lead the Country.
But as Ruto tours Coast, Raila
will be on 10-day trip, starting with Ethiopia and then India.
