Ngirici removes UDA colours in her Kirinyaga office
Days
after falling out with Deputy President William Ruto, Kirinyaga Woman
Representative Wangui Ngirirci has reclaimed her office and other campaign
machinery she had offered for use by United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Ngirici removed UDA branding from her office
in Kirinyaga County and repainted her office white, removing the yellow and green,
the dominant colours of UDA
She
also removed UDA branding
materials from her campaign machinery including her public address
truck and personal vehicles.
Ngirici
has already announced she would be contesting for the Kirinyaga
gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate.
While
decamping from UDA, she expressed concerns over the nomination process, stating
tickets will be handed to the highest bidder.
Ngirici
said her rival, Governor Anne Waiguru, had bribed Ruto to be given direct UDA ticket
for the gubernatorial race.
