If lies had a face, Ruto’s image would grace the earth

By Wahome Thuku via Facebook

I saw Deputy President William Ruto explaining on TV that he is not campaigning because campaign time has not been gazetted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

That all the meetings he (Ruto) has been holding in markets from 9am till late night are to explain government projects and programmes because he is the Deputy President of Kenya.

In other words, this template is the list of projects for which people have to be called from homes in thousands to gather in the trading centres to listen.

No wonder when he said a road construction had started, the very people who had just left their beds to come and listen, corrected him instantly and he had no come back.

Anyway the President is away for three days.

The Constitution says when the president is away the deputy acts as President.

So can William settle at Harambee House for at least three days and do some work as acting Head of State.

At least let him earn some deserved salary for those three days.
